NXP Semiconductor CFO sells nearly 70% of his shares as Samsung acquisition rumored to fall apart!
Kelly Peter sold 142,311 of his 203,749 shares.
Maybe there is another, completely justifiable reason he needed $32M all at once, but SemiAnalysis did not find one.
ha nothing in particular, just wondering if they would fit into Samsung's acquisition. Because I always feel like the NXPI acquisition is risky. They wanted to sell for so long, and the regulatory path is so murky. I didn't think NXPI is a good idea. I think ON on the other hand, would have just the perfect fit. Still heavy-ish in auto, going through years of stock underperformance and is getting rid of old fabs now. Synergy looks better for Samsung, pricing a lot better to stomach.
ON is also going through a strategic review of its own now. Might just have all the stars aligned.
$ON?
Lot to say about them, what are you wondering?

Interesting thought. I'm not quite sure if I like the prospect but sure is interesting
why not?
